Meet Kaltrina Harbuzi, a senior this year, with two years of eligibility since she was red-shirted last year to allow her time to recover from needed surgery. Along with being a talented player she has on many occasions shown just how gutsy a player she is. She continues to compete successfully after three previous knee surgeries. "The knee feels great now after the latest surgery and the year off ... no problems" says Kaltrina.
We have all, on occasion, met players like Kaltrina that refuse to lose. She and others like her can be an opponents worst nightmare because they have the ability to ignore pain and fatigue and distractions with a focus we all envy.
Kaltrina's home is Schneverdingen, Germany where she started playing tennis. She has had a junior and collegiate career that any player would be proud of. We suggest you view the Lamar University website to see just some of her accomplishments in tennis to date.
As of this posting, Kaltrina will play line 1 or 2 in singles and line 1, 2 or 3 in doubles.
Kaltrina says "My best stroke is my backhand... no doubt about it. The stroke that needs more work is my serve.".
SETTA wishes you much success this season and look for SETTA members in the stands.

Congrats Kaltrina! Excellent choice, Gary. Kaltrina was my mixed doubles partner in the Labor Day tourney. Not only is she a great tennis player, she is an even better person. If you have never made it out to an LU tennis match, then you should definitely go out and support Kaltrina and the girls. I promise you will not be disappointed.
I couldn't agree more. Kaltrina is an amazing player and person and has an attitude that is ideal for all Cardinals!
