Lamar Men Cardinals

Meet Diego Snyder a right hander from New Braunfels, Texas who is a  third year player for Lamar.  "Diego has speed, quickness and he is one of the best conditioned athletes I have coached.", say Coach Greg Davis.

Diego has played both singles and doubles for the Cardinals.  Like most competitive players he prefers singles but he has also posted impressive  results in doubles.  His big serve and volley mixed with his speed and quickness has made him very effective.

Since Diego's mother (Olinda Snyder) is from Peru, he became eligible to compete as a member of Peru's Junior Davis Cup Team.  He has also trained at John Newcombes Tennis Academy between the ages of 15-18 before selecting Lamar University to attend over other college offers.

"My best strokes are my serve and volley.", says Diego "Probably the stroke that needs the most work is my backhand.".  Diego plays with an extreme western grip.

SETTA would encourage you to go to the Lamar website and check out more information on Diego Synder and plan on attending some of the Cardinals matches in the 2010 season.
