Platelet Rich Plasma Joint Treatment

Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP) is a treatment using your own blood to treat a persistent muscle injury.  The procedure is out patient and usually takes less than an hour.  They concentrate the platelet rich plasma within your own blood in a syringe and then inject it back into your bodies injured area.

Since some degree of injury appears to be inevitable if you play tennis long enough, I thought some of you might be interested in learning more about this less invasive form of treatment.  Additional articles can be found at Google by doing a search.  I am providing two links for general information, if you have any questions about the procedure please contact your physician.
