Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP) is a treatment using your own blood to treat a persistent muscle injury. The procedure is out patient and usually takes less than an hour. They concentrate the platelet rich plasma within your own blood in a syringe and then inject it back into your bodies injured area.
Since some degree of injury appears to be inevitable if you play tennis long enough, I thought some of you might be interested in learning more about this less invasive form of treatment.
