| Notes POINTS: Tx Section: Adult-200. National: Adult-Local: 1x. TEXAS JUNIOR POINTS: Super Champs-Level 4 Standing points Champs -Level 2 Ranking points. JUNIOR ELIGIBILITY: This tournament is open to all junior players. To earn points, junior players must compete in their qualified age division when offered. HEADQUARTERS: Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas. SEEDING: USTA Texas recommends the “All Factors Method” of seeding for Ad/Sr/SS divisions and that Committees use the Texas 12 Month Rolling Standings List for initial considerations. If other information is to be considered (such as head-to-head wins), emails must be sent to the Tournament Director immediately after entry deadline. REGISTRATION: Players must register at first match playing site 30 minutes prior to start of match. SCHEDULE OF PLAY: Mixed Doubles will begin Friday after 6:00 pm! Why wasn't the tournament played on Sun night and Monday?
I was wondering that too - can we get an answer?
When we re-configured the draws for Sunday, accounting for short sets and no add scoring, we needed 1 ½ days to complete the tournament. Therefore, we had to start playing by noon on Sunday to complete the tournament by Monday night. Unfortunately, it did not stop raining on Sunday until that night. Just playing on Monday would not have allowed us to complete the tournament. The Board has authorized a $10 rebate to those who were paid entrants for 2011 when they pay for their entry for 2012.
