Women’s 3.5 team made a great run of it at Sectionals

SETX’s local winners for Women’s 3.5 league (Cougars and Cubs) made a great run of it at Sectionals in Dallas the weekend of Aug. 10-12. They clinched their flight as the undefeated winners, then went on to Sunday’s Semi-Finals and were edged out by Laredo, who later lost to Austin in the Finals. Team members attending were: Sheri White (Capt.), Jill Williams (Co-Capt.), Madeline Singleton, Bunnie Meyer, Tammie Gilfillian, Esther Davis, Bonnie O’Quinn, Rosemary Dale, Ruthie Guidroz, Adrienne Miranda and Beverly Hill. Unable to attend sectionals, but helped to clinch our local wins were: Lori Matt and Cheryl Rizzo.
